Winter of Enchatment will integrate agritourism with the holiday season while providing the space for visitors to experience and learn of our New Mexico traditions in a fun, festive environment. This will be an interactive experience for all ages where guests can see, hear, smell, touch, and taste things uniquely New Mexico against the beautiful backdrop of our farm.
Winter of Enchantment is a production of Big Jim Farms located in Albuquerque’s north valley. Big Jim Farms is a u-pick farm, best known for green chile, yellow sunflowers, orange pumpkins, and red chile ristras. Completing this lovely rainbow of wholesome food and family fun is a delicious assortment of other homegrown produce, engaging classes, kids’ learning programs, and barnyard friends.
Were it not for the jolly laugh, long beard, and plump body, one might not recognize Santa at Big Jim’s Christmas Farm as he will be donned in his farming attire, made up in jeans, boots, flannel shirt and suspenders. Kids of all ages can spend a leisurely visit with him now that his farmwork has let up for the season. Who knows, he just might take guests out for a ride on his tractor driven sleigh!
On down the path are the farm animals who will be in on the celebration too as we “deck their stalls with boughs of holly - fa la la la la”! Our friendly farm animals are a family favorite and will be especially jolly to get petted and scratched beyond the fall season.
